I biked out to the store today, going down Edgerton on a route I’ve never done before. Came across this little park… besides the paved path, there’s a couple paths that are just bare ground, a few bridges like this. Nothing fancy, but a nice little oasis.
Oh, and by the time I got out of the store, it was raining… had a 5mile bike ride home through one heck of a storm.

Driving home from work today I was skirting along the edge of a nice rain storm.

Made use of the stitching feature on my camera to take this shot of the sky… impending bad weather was supposed to be on it’s way, but it ended up staying to the south. The camera really does a damn good job of stitching the three pics together. To fully appreciate this one, click on the image to see the full-size version.
July 18th, 2008 — at work, ramblings
Ok, in case you missed my previous post, I get to go to VA/DC for a long weekend trip for work and some play. The stuff below is some live notes I took on my Centro along the way, with some typos and such corrected of course.
Now, this is my first time in the airport since mid-2001, and first time dealing with the new security and all. We parked at Humphrey terminal, walked a looong way to get to where we catch the light rail, then another tram to the terminal.
Check in went ducky. No line or anything. Dropped the luggage off at the scanner. Dad went to get one last smoke in and we head to the checkpoint and the line was so-so. But then we got lucky and they seemed to open another line.

April 11th, 2008 — ramblings
Last week I posted about the weather around here, referencing as an April Fool’s type joke. And sure, as hearty “Minne-snow-tans”, we take the weather in stride. Sometimes the jokes are really funny, sometimes they have unintended consequences and sometimes they’re just wrong.
Well around here, it is feeling like we’re getting hit with the joke that just won’t go away. After hitting the 60′s over the weekend, we’re not getting out of the 40s, and last night there was snow, lighting, and thunder. All rolled in to one.

This was my front yard this morning. Whee.
With our luck, next week it will be in the 80s, humid, and we’ll be swarming with mosquitoes.
March 31st, 2008 — at play
Ok, tomorrow is April 1, right?
I had no snow in my back yard when I left for work this morning… and it is still coming down, three hours later.

This next one I just thought looked cool… it’s the rear fender of my Jeep after I got home.
