Just over nine months ago, I got my first Palm Centro, shortly after it came out on Sprint. It was just what I was looking for, and fortunately my phone from work was with Sprint. Unfortunately, I’m now on my fourth.
When I switched jobs back in May, I had to get my own cell account with Sprint. Well, work would have done it for me, but I wanted it in my own name for a few reasons… I don’t want to have to switch again unless I want to (not that I plan on leaving this job in the foreseeable future), and I figured after some of the junk I’ve been through the last couple years it is one way to help re-establish my credit again.

November 15th, 2007 — geek effect
Ok, with my Centro, I am now doing more and more than I had with any of my other Palm devices, and I just came across another great piece of software to add to the list.
ProfileMD is basically a database that lets you store all sorts of medical info on not just yourself, but other members of your family. You create a profile for each person and then you can add just about any sort of medical related info you would need. A quick run down of the main menu options: Personal info, insurance info, family history, appointments, problem log, weight, blood glucose, peak flow, allergies, medications, illnesses, sugeries, tests & labs, shots and vital signs.

October 16th, 2007 — geek effect
I took the plunge (thanks to work) and picked up a new Palm Centro yesterday. Ever since my Treo90 died, I’ve missed having the keyboard and the one-handed entry ability. I had a cheapy palm that replaced the Treo that didn’t survive a trip through the washer, and replaced that about two years ago with the LifeDrive.
Side Note: I still like the LifeDrive, and it will remain available for longer trips where I want to really take advantage of it’s storage and large screen.
