Drove the Jeep down towards Red Wing today and using my new bike rack I brought the bike so I could take a ride on the Cannon Valley Trail. Did about 35miles total to Cannon Falls and back. It was a warm one though, 91 degrees out today. But it was worth it… also worth a couple of bonus pics today. Continue reading →

Took lunch over to Kordiak Park again today. This was the view from the picnic table I sat at. (had cranberry quinoa salad with chicken in it btw)

I’ve been a bit lax on taking any sort of pictures this week. Sorry. But here is what I enjoyed for lunch today. Fish tacos made with some catfish left over from last nights dinner.
Post Weekend Update
May 11th, 2009 — ramblings, wls
Been a few days since I’ve posted anything.
Saturday was taken up with paintball. Was a good day, even if we only had a small showing down in Morristown. I tested out the bullet-cam I have. Worked rather well mounted on my barrel. I need to play with the video and figure out how to post it. Maybe. It’s not very exciting, but there’s some larger games coming up, at least now I know it works.
Yesterday was Mothers day. (hi mom!) Had a nice day at the sister’s. I had a “lunch” of 2 or 3 shrimp for a shrimp cocktail. Everyone seemed to like the blackberry cocktail sauce I brought. Later, my brother-in-law and I went to see Star Trek. Was very good. Better than I expected even. And of course leaves a whole lot of doors open for the future.
Today, I packed a lunch… but ended up getting a small Wendy’s chili… ate less than half of it. Tonight, pizza. It could be a couple-time a week thing down the road. It’s easy and I can whip it together with whatever I have on hand for meat and veges.

A Second Childhood?
May 6th, 2009 — ramblings
Does the fact that I now use cutlery and dinnerware made for toddlers mean I’m going through some sort of second childhood or anything?
There’s a building thing to use Bento (based on the Japanese word for lunch) boxes for lunches and such. Well, I am not exactly the Hello Kitty type, and my meals are still rather… well… tiny, so I’m making do with other items. Like my lunch for tomorrow…
