
Ok, a rare exception here, an “photo” that I didn’t take myself. But it’s of me, so that sorta counts, no?
After 20+ years of knee issues (mostly popping sounds and some pain that I call my “Rice Krispie” knees), I went to an orthopedic to find out what’s up, cause they’ve actually been worse the last few months since I lost weight.
You can kinda see how the gap behind the kneecap is thinner on the outside edges than where it dips in on the inside…? It’s likely a softening of the cartilage. Combined with those lil bone spurs on the outsides of my kneecaps… yea. Fun stuff.
Doc says work on strengthening the quads, try a brace when exercising, and that glucosamine stuff might help a bit too. But overall, it’s nothing serious at this point.
