The Incredible Shrinking ManThis last week flew by. I’ve been busy at work.. 10+ hour days. We’re in the final weeks of one large project, and we just started construction on a new Sonic restaurant. But… better to be too busy than out of work, right?

My weight loss stalled a bit this week at around 282-284. I know I’m not getting enough exercise. I know I’m not getting enough protein. I’m still working on both. I bought a sample pack from Bariatric Advantage… I’m hoping some of the protein supplements will be good and I can order stuff to have on hand to boost my protein intake.

But, while I didn’t seem to lose weight, I am.. shrinking. Just a few weeks ago I bought a pair of size 40 shorts on clearance, they didn’t fit when I bought them. They fit yesterday.

I have a fair number of jeans and old BDU pants that I’ve had for years… size 40-42 on the jeans, down to size XL on the BDUs. I’m a pack rat. I probably held on to them this past decade or so thinking… “some day, I’ll lose weight and they’ll fit again.” Well, this is that “some day”.

I wore the XL BDU’s (I was up to XXXL last couple years) this week. I fit in to the size 40 jeans today. And I think I broke just below 280 today. I’ll wait a few more days before marking that milestone for sure though.

I also screwed up a bit last night. I stopped at the grocery store for a few things, and I was getting a bit hungry. After getting my shopping done, I went back by the deli and got a chicken thigh… fried. They had a special, 8 pieces for $4.44, so they were cranking out the chicken like mad, and it just smelled so good. It tasted really good too… and yea, I ate a good chunk of the skin. I was afraid I was going to dump. For better or worse, I didn’t. But it did leave me feeling a bit funky… and I didn’t have anything else to eat till way later that night when I had a bit of SF pudding.

Even though I didn’t dump… I won’t be doing that again any time soon.

This weeks meal themes were leftovers, tuna, imitation crab, and almonds.

Tuesday Lunch

Lunch on Tuesday was tuna salad wrapped in the whole-wheat fajita tortilla, 14 almonds, and bout 1/2 a kiwi. Didn’t finish the kiwi. Other half got frozen for future use in a protein shake.

Roast Beef Dinner

Tuesday dinner was the left over roast beef from my lunch at Applebee’s last week. Put the beef on crackers, covered with some cheese and popped them in the toaster oven for a few minutes. Add some brocolli and SF tapioca pudding on the side. I only ate about half of what’s here.

Wednesday Lunch

I went grocery shopping Tuesday night. The seafood sticks were on sale, and a 2 for 1 coupon. Bonus. So here’s a couple of the “crab legs” with a small container of my blackberry cocktail sauce, 14 almonds (The jalapeno smokehouse flavor… good stuffs), and a bit more of the tapioca pudding. I get about 3 servings from one of the lil cups.

Wednesday Dinner

Similar theme to last night, but this time I cut two frozen meatballs (after I cooked them) in to 1/4′s, putting half of one on each cracker that was topped with some of my SF BBQ sauce, cheese and into the toaster oven. Then a side of apple sauce and edemame. Only ate three of the topped crackers, downed the rest of the stuff.

Thursday Lunch

Tuesdays and Thursdays I have meetings in the mornings, so I bring stuff I don’t have to cook, just in case I get tied up and need to eat when I’m nowhere near a microwave, etc. Actually, starting next Monday gonna have to do that too. feh. Anyways, the crab sticks are better hot, but are pretty good cold too. Another 14 almonds (1/2 a serving) and a sliced up radish.

Friday Dinner

I don’t remember what I had for dinner Thursday… and for lunch Friday it was more crab sticks (hey, there’s 7 in a pack… and I still have 1 stick left, maybe a snack later today) along with some edemame and…. I don’t remember what else. Sorry, forgot to take a picture. Dinner Friday I took the left over tuna salad, mixed in some shredded cheese and stuffed some jalapeno peppers that I broiled in the toaster oven for about 10 minutes. I ate the filling from all three, and about one and a half of the peppers. They were good, I cleaned all the veins and seeds out so not hot at all (unfortunately). I can see doing something like this again in the future.

So… that was last week. I have some stuff to post about some waffles I made yesterday, and my turkey dinner today, but I’ll save that for tomorrow or something.
