I have way too many blogs and such in my RSS reader on Bloglines. If I don’t keep on top of it, I’ll easily have 4-5,000 new posts in a matter of days.
For the most part I just skim about, looking for stuff that catches my eye… and that’s what I’m doing tonight. I thought I’ld share some of the best.. or maybe worst… of what I came across.
First up… a little something to get you in the Christmas spirit… jingle bells, played using microwave ovens, thanks to Gizmodo.

Back to some Christmas related stuff… 15 Really Useful Kitchen Items for Your Favorite Cooks from the folks over The Kitchn… and in case yer wondering which to get me for Christmas…
Cast Iron Skillet – already have two of these. Though I could use a lid for the larger one.
Oven Thermometer – have one, remote line for it and everything.
Chef’s Knife – I have a nice Japanese chef’s knife, have had it for years. It’s become very popular in recent years, tho most know it as a santoku
Glass Storage Containers – I think I’m ok with my Rubbermaid set
Porcelain Ginger Grater – I should, but don’t use fresh ginger enough to need one of these
Chinese Cleaver – these have too small a handle for my hand, but I do have a decent cleaver I’ve used for years.
Tiffin Lunch Pail – uh.. no thanks.
Perfex Pepper Mill – I have a nice one already.
Dutch Oven – Have three… well, two for camping, one for the kitchen.
Japanese Mandoline – This is something I’ve been wanting to get for awhile.
Heat-Resistant Spatulas – have a couple good ones, but hey can always use more.
Slow Cooker – have a couple, small and large.
Microplane Zester – mmm… I have a decent grater, this is too uni-tasker for me I think.
Stainless Steel Bowls with Lids – mine don’t have lids..feel for me.
Wooden Spoons – oh, already have plenty here, but thanks for thinking of me.
I love my Jeep… but yea… I could get into one of these.

And one last one for now… this is actually an older one from Bitten’s blog on the NY Times site, but I bought some peppers today to give it a shot.. D.I.Y. Hot Sauce
Maybe more later… still have over 1500 to wade through yet.
