Mr Portinga Goes to Washington - Day 1

Here we are, day one in VA.  Chrisiansburge to be exact. And it is the first full day since we did cross the VA border before midnight. Yes, the title says DC, but it sounds better, given the reference and all, and I was there yesterday and will be there Sunday and Monday… so… what the heck.

We got lots of work done to prep for the upcoming work on the Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop, and got a few others errands run…  but no real sightseeing yet.

Except for this…

Ok, the overall view isn’t THAT great, it’s more like this.

That’s what I see when I walk out the door… but the first one is what I see if I turn slightly to the right and zoooom in a bit with the camera.

I’m kinda wiped… only got about four hours of sleep… so I’ll just leave you with these last two photos… they are of the plane I sat in for 90 minutes yesterday waiting to get from PA to DC. We actually got out on the tarmac and shuttled in to the terminal. kinda bizarre.
